Great West Football Conference All-Academic Team announced

Ten Bison players have been named to the Great West Football Conference All-Academic Team. The selections were announced Jan. 22.

The NDSU players include Kyle Belmont, a sophomore majoring in psychology from Battle Lake, Minn.; senior Sam Boraas, a mechanical engineering major from Zumbrota, Minn.; Mike Brown, a senior majoring in sports management from Larimore, N.D.; Nick Compton, a junior studying business management from Rosemount, Minn.; sophomore Jeff Curtis, a mass communication major from New Hope, Minn.; Kole Heckendorf, a junior studying physical education and health education from Mosinee, Wis.; Tyler Lekang, a senior in electrical engineering from Fridley, Minn.; junior Ryan Parsons, a social science and history major from Ham Lake, Minn.; Tyler Roehl, a junior studying physical education from West Fargo; and Landon Smith, a red-shirt freshman studying business management from Dickinson, N.D.

Honorees must achieve a minimum cumulative 3.2 grade point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team’s contests. Student athletes were selected based on their most recent grade point average.
